The uniform of the Black Panther Party included sunglasses, afros, black beret hats, guns, and leather jackets. 

The Black Panthers did not follow the usual professional attire worn by Civil Rights protestors, but instead wanted to stray from the social norms in order to rebel against the oppression they faced day to day.

Their uniform, worn by men and women alike, defied gender roles and exemplified the power of women.
