Trends by Olivia is supporting “Helping Children of the DRC” and their mission of providing clothes, shoes, and other necessary resources to the war-affected children in the DRC.   

In the 60s-70s there were large anti-war movements, some of the first in US history. Now, there are plenty of wars and we are emboldened to speak up against them. I’ve picked this org to support because decades of wars across the Dominican Republic of Congo have resulted in the displacement of over six million people. Currently, the DRC is going through a very intense humanitarian crisis including civil rights and gender based conflicts. Although the United Nations started protecting women and girls in 2023, the situation has worsened and problems such as inflation, malnutrition, and epidemics. No one is talking about it that much - in the light of other, more publicized wars, I want to shed light on this one. We want to provide as much financial and physical support as possible to the Congolese by supporting the HCDRC non-profit organization.
